The concept of the event is to raise money for the foundation SOLIDARITY FOUNDATION helping kids in the Gambia and also bring a close link between the Gambian models and fashion designers. This is first of it kind in The Gambia. The event will take place at duplex nite club , ticket D300 regular D500 for VIP.

As his on-going promotional tour intensifies, the rising Gambian international rapper is currently preparing for a spectacular concert in the Spanish archipelago of grand canaries on the 18th May 2012, if reports reaching What’s On are anything to go by.
Mo Hawk will then on May 25th together with the Senegalese mbalax sensation Pape Diouf,thrillmusic enthusiasts in Birmingham in UK. However, Rap Khalifah as fondly called believes this ‘reach out to ghetto’ tour to music strongholds in the world, is another avenue to showcase what he has to offer.
Since his arrival in UK, he has been gracing the stage with other support artist to thrill his fans. Described by many as the king of Gambian rap force, Mo Hawk’s astonishing unique and captivating versatile skills are qualities that continue to send fans into fanfare each time he mounts the podium. The UK trip is meant to better promote his forthcoming new album as well as his record Label-Block Entertainment Compilation album promo.
It would be recalled that the star began his tour in the UK, first staged mega concerts in Birmingham on March 3rd amid large audience of music enthusiasts and then to other cities around United Kingdom.
The Gambia’s king of kora-Jaliba Kuyateh and his Kumareh band are set to launch their much anticipated forthcoming album this Saturday 12 May 2012 at the Senegambia Beach Hotel. The 8-track tape was superbly recorded at the Papis Conateh’s Studio in the Senegalese city of Dakar.
The album entitled ‘Toupi Ke Jang’ ’represent one of Jaliba’s best creative artwork and is15th album. Some of the thrilling tracks in the new masterpiece include the one he dedicated to the Senegalese reigning king of the arena-Balla Gaye II, who is expected to grace the occasion. Other thrilling tunes include-‘Man-Kuntu-Beto’, ‘Asouma Yandi’ among a host of others. Also in attendance will be the Senegalese leading comedian, Koucha to perform alongside Jaliba.
In a brief interview with What’s On, on Thursday, Jaliba called on his fans to be patient and give priority to foreign visitors who will grace the occasion. As an experience singer, Jaliba is optimistic that this forthcoming masterpiece will be a thrilling one. He stressed that the songs in the new album are both entertaining and educative. The international kora maestro who is also UNICEF’s goodwill ambassador, thanked God for giving him the strength and talents to produce yet another masterpiece.
